What to Expect from the Fed

FT Alphaville previews the Federal Open Market Committee’s regular policy statement later today. Although “nobody is expecting any major policy changes or innovations,” the real area to watch is the new members of the FOMC.

“Voting seats will rotate to four new district bank presidents, so we’ll find out how many dissenters we have this year… Esther George is likely to indeed dissent, while James Bullard remains something of a wildcard.”
