Obama Won't Consider Medicaid Cuts

The Hill reports that the Obama administration “is no longer willing to make even the Medicaid cuts it had previously supported, but acknowledged that puts more pressure on Medicare.”

“The push to prioritize Medicaid over Medicare is a result of the Supreme Court’s decision last year upholding the Affordable Care Act as constitutional. The decision gave states the ability to opt out of the law’s Medicaid expansion.”

“The federal government will initially cover the entire cost of the expansion, but some Republican governors don’t entirely trust Congress to follow through on those funding commitments. The White House is taking its Medicaid cuts — some of which would have shifted costs to the states — off the table to send a message to governors.”

Good for Mr. Obama! Stand your ground, Mr. President!

It’s the bloated MILITARY budget (for the Imperial WAR Machine!) that needs CUTTING!

Cuts are necessary; Republicans are always screaming for them, aren’t they??

    Start THERE!

start with the military budget and then pass monetary reform which could allow the treasury to print enough money to gradually pay off the national debt, without inflation. (This could be done if fractional reserve banking is abolished, if the fed no longer loans money to banks, and therefore, the treasury prints the same amount of money it would print under the status quo, only that money would be interest free.)
