Budget Pressures Pinch Immigrant Detention

Agencies across the federal government have warned that the sequestration cuts will cause a wide array of undesired consequences, but Suzy Khimm reports that fiscal pressures are already forcing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to release “immigrants in deportation proceedings from immigrant detention facilities.”
