Cyber Attacks Target HealthCare.gov

The Department of Homeland Security tells ABC News that HealthCare.gov “has been subject to ‘a handful’ of hacking attempts, including at least one intended to bring the site down.”

“While the number of hacking attempts for such a ‘high profile target’ may seem low…it’s likely the agency is reporting only ‘brute force attacks.’”

No doubt the numerous conservative right-wing groups and their supporters are doing the attacks because of their hatred for President Obama and his successful programs.

Actually, there’s plenty of doubt. Everything isn’t partisan. Could just be pissed off politically ignorant young hackers who don’t want to buy health insurance. It could be people probing it as a possible target to collect personal information.

I’m in favor of Obamacare, but seeing everything with partisan lenses is insane.

If this is ideologically driven, it’s just as likely to be libertarians or anarchists as partisan conservatives (there’s a lot of overlap between libertarians, anarchists, and pissed off politically ignorant youth, but they generally prefer the former labels to the latter).
